Author Talk: Humanity's Moment
Climate scientist Joelle Gergis explains the science in the IPCC report with unflinching honesty about what it means for our future, along with personal reflections on the climate emergency currently unfolding. It's authoritative, gripping and very personal, but not without hope, showing us that the solutions we need to live sustainably already exist, and that social movement and political will can create a better world.
Dr Joelle Gergis is an award-winning climate scientist and expert in Australian and Southern Hemisphere climate variability and change. She was lead author for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Changes Assessment Report (IPCC), 2022.
