Melbourne Writers Festival: The Long View with Paddy Manning
Three of Australia’s finest long-form writers present a mini-masterclass on the medium. Offering insight into their own acclaimed work and careers, they share the secret to building intensity in a narrative, and how research and detail can bring a story to life. Walkley Award–winning writer and investigative reporter Mahmood Fazal; contributing politics editor of The Monthly and author of The Successor (a forthcoming biography of Lachlan Murdoch) Paddy Manning; and award-winning journalist and author Margaret Simons each deliver an address on mastering long-form writing, followed by a panel discussion with Kym Middleton.
