David Marr in conversation with Deborah Richards

We are honoured to welcome David Marr back to Centennial Supper Club to discuss Killing for Country, in the week of its national release.

The Australian historian was shocked to learn his forebears served with the brutal Native Police in Australia’s Frontier Wars. Killing for Country details his discovery. It is both a gripping account of Australia’s Frontier Wars and a personal reckoning with a dark family history.

It is also an important contribution to our ever-growing understanding.

David Marr has written for many of Australia’s leading media publications and hosted Media Watch. His books include Patrick White: A Life, The High Price of Heaven, Dark Victory (with Marian Wilkinson), Panic and six bestselling Quarterly Essays.

He will be in conversation with Deborah Richards, award-winning independent journalist and documentary producer.
